The UF Travel Group here provides a summary of their last journey in the Mediterranean, in Autumn 2023. They were also interviewed on Radio UF for the episode “Anecdotes from the Mediterranean,” that you can listen here.
DURING THE AUTUMN the travel group traveled to Cyprus and Athens. On Cyprus we met with the Swedish ambassador, the United Nations and a university to discuss the current issues of the conflict that continues to divide the island to this day.
After Cyprus we flew to Athens to continue our study of Greek and Turkish relations, both historically and in their current political affairs today. We also spent time exploring Athens, visiting museums, markets, cultural sites and made a day trip the nearby city of Corinth.
All in all it was a really interesting and exciting trip with great people, with lots of great memories made.
